Rembrand Timber

Quality Timber

Since Rembrand Timber’s foundation in 1982, supplying treated timber to the construction industry has been our core business.

The success of our construction timber business has been in no small part the result of a strong working relationship with Dundee Port Authority. All our imported whitewood and redwood is shipped through Dundee Docks and delivered direct to the Shielhill Wood headquarters, where work preparing structural timber for joists and similar operations is carried out.

Machined and graded by expert staff

The timber is machined and graded by expert staff who have received specialist training in these highly skilled jobs and whose expertise is regularly re-assessed by the appropriate licensing authorities.

The timber is graded for its structural strength in categories C16 and C24. All structural timber is treated in modern, double vacuum tanks to guard against insect attack. This service is being increased with the installation of a further plant to keep pace with demand from our clients across Scotland and the North of England.
