A new computerised stock-keeping system has been rolled out across the Rembrand branch network. The system’s base is at our headquarters in Tealing by Dundee. It ensures total stock control of all the materials and products we hold at any
one time throughout the network.

The system helps ensure the very best service. It enables us to instantly identify where particular items are being held – and so speed up delivery. It will also help us streamline our entire stock-keeping system so that we can monitor individual items, sales and clearly identify current and likely future customer demand trends.

We stock more than 1400 product items at any one time, including construction timber of varying dimensions and lengths. Now we will be able to pinpoint precisely where
every single item is being stored.

And to ensure a seamless delivery service, we have moved our fleet to contract hire. This will again speed up our service, with vehicles being serviced overnight by the hire
contract operator – avoiding any down time.

Today our fleet of more than 30 lorries in Rembrand Timber’s distinctive yellow-and-blue livery has become a familiar sight across Scotland, delivering quality products across the country promptly, efficiently and with delays cut to the bare minimum.
