3-dimensional effect

Decors with 3-dimensional Effect - Chromadepth by American Paper Optics is a patented system that produces a stereoscopic effect based upon prisms and their special diffraction of color.ChromaDepth glasses have a special prism-like holographic film fitted into glasses. The artificial prisms on the film are causing rays of light to be diffracted in different colours. If the glasses are fitted with a prism-film on one eye and with regular clear fim on the other eye the result is that the two different images that our eyes produce appear to be somehow offset; more or less depends on the colour. From the different pictures the human brain creates the illusion of depth. The special benefit of this technology is that the ChromaDepth-pictures are easy and pleasing to look at without the special glasses (i.e. the pictures are two-dimensional) - no disturbing double-images. Another advantage is that ChromaDepth-pictures can be turned in either direction without loosing their 3-dimensional effect. The choice of colours however is limited since these colours carry the depth information of the picture. Consequently, if one changes the colour of an object this will also change the perceived position of that element.
