All the activities of our group or an individual have some impact on the environment. We aim to reduce this impact through an environmentally sound framework.
 

In  order  to  achieve  this,  the  group will : -

  • Work with our suppliers to ensure our purchasing promotes sustainable forestry.
  • Ensure where possible, our suppliers meet chain of custody certification. We are committed to maintaining an independently approved chain of custody management system.
  • Our sites at Dundee/Tealing (Shielhill Wood) Coatbridge, Dumfries and Thurso are Chain of Custody Certified, copies of our certificates and product range can be downloaded from the link shown on this page. Managing Director George Low is commited to managing this chain of custody system.  
  • Minimise the consumption of resources.
  • Minimise the effects of our business on the environment.
  • Minimise waste, and where waste is generated, reuse, recycle, or dispose of responsibly.
  • Develop a support structure to foster a sense of responsibility for the environment in our staff.
  • Work with our customers and develop the best environmental practices associated with the use and disposal of our products.
  • Achieve a balance between our economic, social and environmental responsibilities.
  • Install a program of continuous measurement and improvement of our environmental performance.
